Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Condemns Government Move, Rejects Ziarat Separation and Southern Districts’ Inclusion in Quetta

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – The **Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP)** has strongly rejected the provincial government’s recent controversial and unilateral decisions, calling them anti-Pashtun, unconstitutional, and malicious.

In a statement from its provincial secretariat, the party said that separating **Ziarat District** from the **Sibi Division** and including southern districts in the **Quetta Division** is part of a deliberate plan to undermine the historical and political status of Pashtun territories. The party emphasized that Ziarat’s affiliation with Sibi Division is a historical and social reality, while the inclusion of southern districts in Quetta violates high-level agreements previously made between **Zulfikar Ali Bhutto** and Pashtun-Baloch leadership.

The statement described the move as political engineering aimed at protecting vested interests, highlighting that the government, formed on the basis of “Form 47,” imposed the decision secretly without consulting the local population or political parties—a clear violation of democratic principles.

PNAP warned that such opaque administrative changes would lead to unfair resource distribution and exacerbate public grievances. The party demanded the immediate reversal of the decision and asserted that if it is not withdrawn, it reserves the right to pursue legal action, organize a province-wide protest movement, launch public awareness campaigns, and resist the measures fully, emphasizing that no compromise will be made on Pashtun administrative rights and territorial unity.
