Maryam Nawaz Orders Enhanced Security in Punjab, Mandatory CCTV and Mock Drills in Educational Institutions

Islamabad (Daily Qudrat): **Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz** has announced a series of measures to strengthen law and order in the province and ensure the safety of citizens.
Under her directives, **installation of CCTV cameras for digital surveillance outside educational institutions** has been made mandatory, and the **Punjab Police** has been instructed to conduct **mock security drills** in coordination with the institutions. Security measures will also include **security guards, entry checks, and complete CCTV systems** in schools and colleges.
CM Maryam Nawaz further directed that **bus drivers and staff traveling from other provinces** be properly registered and that the police coordinate with **Motorway Police** to enhance security. The **Safe City Authority** has been tasked to review and optimize camera functionality across **parks, markets, and other public areas**.
Effective action against **illegal Afghan residents** will continue, and citizens have been urged to assist authorities by **reporting suspicious or anti-social elements promptly**. Additionally, a **computerized record system** will be created for residents from other provinces to distinguish between legal and illegal residents.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized her commitment to making Punjab the **safest province**, urging citizens to stay vigilant and actively contribute to maintaining a **secure environment**. Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to continue their work with the highest standards of efficiency.
