HDP Leaders Condemn Imposition of “Parachute Candidates,” Accuse PML-N and PPP of Undermining Democracy in Quetta

Quetta (Daily Qudrat): Leaders of the **Hazara Democratic Party (HDP)** have criticized the imposition of parachute candidates in Quetta, accusing **PML-N** and **PPP** of depriving the public of their democratic right to genuine representation.

Speaking during corner meetings and campaign events for nominated councilors in **Chiltan Town** and **Zarghoon Town**, HDP Chairman **Abdul Khaliq Hazara** and other party leaders, including **Mirza Hussain Hazara, Azizullah Hazara, Ahmad Ali Kohzad, Mohammad Raza Hazara, and Qadir Ali Nail**, stated that these political parties have undermined democracy for the sole purpose of gaining power.

The HDP leaders said that in Balochistan, mafia elements and parachute candidates have been imposed on the public, stripping citizens of their right to governance. They criticized the appointment of individuals with little or no history in provincial politics or community service to the assemblies, calling it one of the worst constitutional violations in the country’s history.

Highlighting the ongoing challenges in Quetta, the HDP pointed out blocked roads, power outages, gas shortages, and the lack of security. They alleged that city management has been handed to private companies collecting fees from citizens while failing to maintain sanitation, turning Quetta into a “war-torn city.”

HDP leaders urged the public to elect their party’s nominated candidates to ensure genuine representation, improve governance, and put Quetta on a path of development and prosperity.
