No Room for Terrorism: 100 Militants Surrender in Dera Bugti, Balochistan CM Urges Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Leadership to Focus on Governance

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)** – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, stated that terrorists cannot impose their system on the nation under any circumstances. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he emphasized that the people of Balochistan have always stood with their armed forces and will continue to do so.
He said that any narratives undermining the state must be rejected and added that it is the federal government’s responsibility to ban prohibited organizations, with provincial consultation if needed. Highlighting a recent development in Dera Bugti, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti announced that around 100 militants have surrendered to the government, marking a positive step in the fight against terrorism. Many of these individuals had fled to the mountains in 2018-19 and have now returned, welcomed back by the state.
The Chief Minister also stressed that terrorism is a collective challenge for the nation. He criticized a political party for exploiting fear-based narratives for political gain, pointing out that recent by-elections exposed the truth of such claims. He clarified that no large-scale military operations are ongoing in Balochistan, only intelligence-based actions.
Urging the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to focus on governance rather than political confrontation, he said that the public urgently needs peace, stability, and development. Mir Sarfaraz Bugti highlighted Balochistan’s achievements under his government, including top performance in digital financial systems, improved tax-to-GDP ratio, reopening of 3,200 inactive schools, and the merit-based recruitment of 17,000 teachers. Expansion of hospitals in remote areas has enhanced public access to healthcare and increased trust in government performance.
He concluded by calling for an end to political confrontations and a focus on serving the people. National Assembly member Nawabzada Mir Jamal Khan Raisani was also present at the press briefing.
