Under Official Patronage, Lives and Property of Kech People Being Looted; Border Trade Closure Leaves Millions Starving: National Party

Quetta (Daily Qudrat): National Party Balochistan Provincial President and Chairman Aslam Baloch, while addressing the successful All Parties rally in Kech against the closure of border trade and thefts and robberies, attributed the success to the efforts of All Parties leaders, particularly National Party leaders present in Kech, local leadership, and the Chairman, Vice Chairman, workers, and office-bearers of BSO Pajar. He said that the closure of border trade has left millions of people without a single meal, while daily thefts and robberies have made life unbearable.

He said that those involved in these thefts and robberies are elements who have been selected and imposed under official patronage on the basis of “eat what you earn” in the form of government-backed representatives. People’s lives, property, and honor are no longer safe from these elements.

Aslam Baloch said that the condition of the government machinery is such that district administrative officers are being abducted in public, which clearly indicates the level of anarchy in the province. On the other hand, the closure of border trade has rendered people unemployed, and a ban has also been imposed on raising voices against thieves and robbers.

He said that the panic displayed by unelected and selected ministers and a few political orphans of Makran over raising voices against thieves and robbers proves that they are all sharing the same bowl and bread. Aslam Baloch said that to stop and fail this rally, imposed ministers and political orphans used every possible effort, fully utilized government machinery, and resorted to intimidation and threats. However, the honorable people of Kech and political workers thwarted all efforts of these rejected elements and not only recorded their strong protest but also proved that these elements are rejected by the people and are merely imposed pawns of the government, with no significance beyond that.

Aslam Baloch clarified that the National Party’s Working Committee and Central Committee meetings will be held this week, in which important decisions will be taken on these burning issues of Balochistan.
