PMAP Passes 33 Key Resolutions at Quetta Rally, Calls for Government’s Ouster and Release of PTI Founder

*Quetta (Daily Qudrat)* — The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP), during a massive public gathering held at Ayub Stadium Football Ground Quetta to mark the 52nd death anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, approved 33 major political and constitutional resolutions. The resolutions were presented by the party’s provincial senior vice president and Quetta district secretary, Syed Sharaf Agha, and unanimously adopted by the participants.
The gathering paid tribute to Khan Shaheed’s national, political, democratic, and literary contributions, reaffirming commitment to his political goals. The resolutions strongly criticized what the party termed *unconstitutional and undemocratic governance*, demanding restoration of the Constitution in its true form and complete parliamentary supremacy.
One of the central resolutions rejected any proposal for **governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, warning of “serious consequences” and vowing resistance to any such move. The party accused the federation of withholding KP’s NFC shares and demanded immediate release of all pending payments.
PMAP also called for the **release of PTI founder Imran Khan**, all political prisoners, and the withdrawal of cases against PTI workers in Balochistan. The party condemned “state interference” in the February 8, 2024 elections, rejecting the resulting government and calling for the **immediate fall of the current administration** and fresh, transparent elections.
The resolutions rejected the **26th and 27th constitutional amendments**, the PECA laws, and other measures allegedly aimed at undermining provincial autonomy. The gathering also denounced enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and demanded the recovery of missing persons.
Other major resolutions included:
* Restoration of traditional trade routes along the Pak–Afghan border.
* Immediate halt to alleged unlawful land allotments in Pashtun-majority districts.
* Reversal of the transfer or privatization of the University of Agriculture Quetta.
* Ending federal involvement in minerals and abolishing the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
* Demand for revival of student unions across Pakistan.
* Condemnation of internet shutdowns and demand for high-speed network access.
* Opposition to merging Levies into police, calling instead for strengthening the Levies force.
* Protection of all national languages and opposition to any restrictions on cultural expression.
The party reiterated its long-standing demand for **a united Pashtun national unit—Pashtunistan—or at minimum a separate province for southern Pashtuns** until full unity is achieved.
The resolutions underscored public frustration over inflation, unemployment, corruption, and economic decline, attributing these issues to flawed domestic and foreign policies and excessive non-political interference.
The rally concluded with PMAP’s pledge to continue its political struggle for democracy, provincial rights, and protection of national identities across Pakistan.
