Unmarried Daughter Receives Over PKR 1.15 Crore Family Pension After Punjab Ombudsman Intervention

Lahore: Following a complaint regarding non-payment of pension, the unmarried daughter of a Bahawalnagar resident was granted over PKR 1.15 crore in family pension after swift action by the Punjab Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman of Punjab ruled that the citizen’s unmarried daughter is fully entitled to the family pension and ordered the immediate release of PKR 1,15,65,000. The case had reportedly been pending for a long time, but action was taken immediately after the complaint was filed, resolving the matter.

The Ombudsman also directed the concerned department to provide reasons for the delay in pension payments and emphasized that payments must be made promptly in accordance with the law so that citizens do not lose their legal entitlements.

Expressing gratitude, the citizen said that without the Punjab Ombudsman’s forum, his daughter might never have received her rightful pension. The Ombudsman reaffirmed its commitment to resolving citizens’ grievances promptly and ensuring justice without delay.
