Crackdown on Gas Compressor Mafia in Quetta: Over 100 Compressors Seized, 18 Arrested

**Quetta:** Under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, the district administration has launched a major crackdown against the gas compressor mafia to improve gas pressure in the city.

During joint operations in Sub-Division Saryab and Sub-Division City, over 100 illegal compressors were seized, 18 shopkeepers were arrested, and 10 shops were sealed.

Assistant Commissioner Saryab, Musar Achakzai, conducted raids in Kamalu, Uzbek Bazaar, and surrounding areas, arresting 10 shopkeepers and sealing 2 shops. Special Magistrate Izzatullah carried out operations in various areas along Saryab Road, confiscating 25 compressors, arresting 4 shopkeepers, and sealing 3 shops. Special Magistrate Haseeb Sardar oversaw Sub-Division City operations, seizing 65 compressors, arresting 4 shopkeepers, and sealing 3 shops.

Deputy Commissioner Badini stated that strict action against the compressor mafia will continue to ensure relief for citizens facing low gas pressure.
