Khawaja Asif Criticizes PTI Chief’s Jail Conditions, Claims Former Detainees Faced Harsh Reality

**Lahore:** Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has criticized former Prime Minister and PTI chief Imran Khan over his jail conditions, highlighting the stark contrast between his stay and that of ordinary prisoners.

Sharing a video clip of Imran Khan on his X account, Asif wrote, “Listen to these petty remarks. His food comes from outside, and check his menu—5-star hotel cuisine is not available even there.”

He added that Khan has access to a TV and can watch channels of his choice, along with exercise machines. “We used to sleep on cold floors and ate prison food. There were only two blankets. In January, there was no hot water. Superintendant Asad Waraich personally brought the geyser in the morning. He [Imran Khan] now has a double bed with velvet bedding. He should hear this speech on the prison loudspeakers. Fear Allah; no one owns time.”
