Good News for Homebuyers: Punjab Government to Allot Flats to Workers Through Lottery

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — The **Punjab government** has announced a major initiative for hardworking individuals who aspire to build their own homes but lack financial resources. Under this program, **government flats will be allocated to workers through a lottery system**, with the draw date officially announced.

According to a post by the **Punjab Labor and Human Resources Department**, the lottery for **Workers Welfare Complex, Sundar Industrial Estate, Phase I, Kasur** will take place the day after tomorrow. The process will be **fully computerized and transparent** to ensure fairness.

The lottery will be conducted at the **Chief Minister’s Office** in the presence of **Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz** on **Friday, November 28, 2025**. Senior officials from the department and other relevant authorities will also attend the event.

The government has also made **registration for the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” program** easier for citizens. Now, residents can submit applications online from their homes, eliminating the need for multiple office visits and reducing additional expenses.

The Housing Department reported that the program has already made significant progress: **30,600 homes have been completed**, and **105,700 families have received loans** for home construction.

This lottery and the housing program reflect the **Punjab government’s commitment to helping low-income citizens realize their dream of owning a home** and providing support to the working class.
