JUI’s Role in Defending Pakistan’s Ideological and Geographical Borders Remains Pivotal, Says Maulana Abdul Wase
Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — **Maulana Abdul Wase**, Amir of **Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Balochistan** and Senator, said that the party’s role in defending Pakistan’s ideological and geographical borders has been a **milestone in the nation’s history**. He emphasized that at every critical juncture, JUI has safeguarded national unity, intellectual stability, and state continuity, often at the cost of its own political existence.
Maulana Abdul Wase stated that JUI continues to be the **most organized and influential force** guiding and training the country’s youth ideologically. The party has consistently defended the dignity and sanctity of state institutions, including the **parliament, judiciary, and administration**, and has played a constructive role in steering the nation out of crises through political foresight, reconciliatory efforts, and policies of national consensus.
He criticized recent political developments, stating that in **three consecutive election cycles**, JUI’s **clear and popular mandate** has been undermined, with **unpopular and unqualified elements imposed** on the people, disrespecting millions of voters and violating democratic principles. He condemned the **manipulated elections, staged mandates, and establishment-friendly formulas** that have created a climate of **disillusionment, mistrust, and insecurity**, setting the province decades behind.
Maulana Abdul Wase asserted that the public is now fully aware of those responsible for **distorting the democratic mandate in Balochistan** and trampling on democratic values. He warned that history will remember these actors as the **worst betrayers of democracy**.
He concluded by reaffirming JUI’s commitment to its principles, stating, “Our politics is not a servant of power but a guardian of principles. Our struggle for the **ideological protection of the country, supremacy of democracy, and safeguarding the people’s mandate** will continue on every front.”
