No Compromise on National Integrity, Security, or Citizens’ Protection: Field Marshal Asim Munir

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Asim Munir has reaffirmed that despite externally supported terrorism and complex challenges, the Pakistan Armed Forces remain steadfast in their commitment to national security.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), participants of the 27th National Security Workshop visited the General Headquarters (GHQ). The workshop, organized by the National Defence University, brings together parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, and representatives from academic and social sectors.
ISPR stated that the participants were briefed on ongoing national actions against illegal activities, including operations targeting drug smuggling and organized criminal networks. They were also updated on improvements in border control and the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals.
Addressing the workshop, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that intelligence and law enforcement agencies are demonstrating strong professional commitment to national security. He noted that the regional environment is rapidly changing, with increasing geopolitical competition, cross-border terrorism, and hybrid warfare posing significant challenges.
The Field Marshal emphasized that Pakistan is an important nation determined to secure its rightful position in the world. He said the professionalism, dedication, and resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces have enhanced the country’s global standing. “Our greatest strength is national unity,” he added.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Army prioritizes the country’s territorial integrity, security, and the protection of every citizen. “There will be no compromise on national sovereignty, security, or citizens’ safety. God willing, we will defeat all malicious designs of our enemies,” he said.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed full cooperation with federal and provincial governments, stressing that lasting peace, stability, and prosperity can only be achieved through coordinated national efforts and institutional harmony.
