DG ISPR Reports 67,000 Operations, 1,873 Terrorists Killed; Says Sandor Operation a Blow to India

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, shared details of counter-terrorism operations conducted across Pakistan this year. Since January 2025, a total of 67,023 intelligence-based operations have been carried out nationwide.
According to the DG ISPR, Balochistan witnessed the highest number of operations, with 53,000 conducted so far, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw 12,857 operations. During these operations, 4,729 terrorism-related incidents occurred nationwide, with 3,357 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulting in 1,873 terrorists being killed.
Addressing border management and smuggling, he stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa-Afghanistan border stretches 1,229 kilometers with 20 crossing points, but there is insufficient force to fully monitor it. He noted that the Taliban regime in Afghanistan provides sanctuary to terrorists, and banned TTP elements enter Pakistan to carry out attacks.
The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistani forces never target civilians and that every officer declares assets annually. He warned that terrorists possess American weapons, posing a global threat.
Commenting on the Sandor operation in Balochistan, he described it as a “slap on India’s face” and a major success in uprooting terrorist networks. He added that attacks on FC headquarters and terrorist movements via Tirah highlighted the strongholds of terrorism and smuggling.
He assured the public that the army and FC will continue operations against terrorism without discrimination. He clarified that Pakistan’s issue with the Afghan Taliban regime concerns terrorists, not the Afghan people. Sustained military oversight, effective intelligence, and operations have weakened terrorist networks in the country, and no safe haven will be provided to militants in Pakistan in the future.
