Balochistan High Court Orders Removal of Akhtar Mengal from No-Fly List, Warns of Contempt Action

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** The Balochistan High Court held a significant hearing on a contempt of court petition challenging the failure to remove Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal’s name from the no-fly list despite a judicial order. Following arguments by Advocate Sajid Tarin, the court directed the Federal Secretary of Interior and the Director General of FIA to submit an affidavit by next Monday.

The court made it clear that if the order is not implemented and Sardar Akhtar Mengal’s name is not removed by Monday, contempt proceedings will be initiated against both officials. The bench, comprising Justice Gul Hassan Tarin and Justice Sardar Ahmed Halimi, presided over the hearing. Advocates Agha Hassan Baloch, Jameel Ramzan, and others were also present.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, Advocate Sajid Tarin stated that such tactics cannot stop party leadership from speaking out against injustice. He emphasized that if court orders are disregarded, it raises serious concerns about the rule of law, and vowed to continue raising their voice against oppression both inside and outside the courts.
