Balochistan Levies Force Fake Promotions Scandal Exposed, 4 Arrested, Case Registered

QUETTA: A major scandal involving fake promotions in the Balochistan Levies Force has been exposed by the Anti-Corruption Directorate following secret reports, multiple complaints, and information circulating on social media. Several officers and personnel have been booked under a formal case.

According to details, under the direction of Director Anti-Corruption Qambar Baloch, Assistant Director (Investigation) Zubair Ahmed Alizai obtained records and reviewed the matter, revealing that in Zhob district, 20 Levies personnel (Grade 07) were illegally promoted to Havaldar (Grade 09) through fraudulent promotion orders. These orders were issued without approval or verification. Similarly, illegal promotions of six Levies personnel in Kech district were confirmed, and promotions from Risaldar to Risaldar Major in Qila Saifullah and other districts were also declared entirely fake.

The Directorate General Levies Force Balochistan and the Home Department officially declared all these promotion orders as bogus and fraudulent. Investigations revealed that multiple officers and personnel were involved in preparing the promotion orders, forging signatures, and tampering with records.

During the operation, Jamshed Gul (former Section Officer), Syed Abid Shah (Levies Clerk / Junior Clerk), Risaldar Mohammad Tahir, and Saleem Lashari (Assistant / Acting Private Secretary) were arrested.

Furthermore, the investigation identified Risaldar Abdullah Khan, Risaldar Ghulam Murtaza, Risaldar Syed Tariq Shah, and Mohammad Arif as also involved in the forgery and illegal promotions, with raids underway for their arrests.

The probe confirmed that the suspects colluded to prepare fake documents, manipulate records, and systematically conduct the illegal promotion process. The case is moving forward for further legal action, with the Anti-Corruption Balochistan continuing impartial and strict measures against all involved.
