X’s New Feature Exposes Shocking Revelations: From Which Countries Are PTI Accounts Operating?
Islamabad: A short-lived feature introduced by Elon Musk on social media platform X has led to major revelations about the real locations of various user accounts, including those linked to PTI.
The feature, which briefly displayed the country and actual location of users, exposed that several PTI-affiliated and propaganda accounts were operating from foreign countries. It also uncovered a large-scale fake propaganda network allegedly run from India.
According to reports, these accounts had been continuously spreading misinformation, propaganda, and orchestrated campaigns against Pakistan. Their purpose was to harm Pakistan’s global image and manipulate online narratives to their advantage.
Elon Musk stated that the feature was designed to help identify bots and fake accounts on the platform. However, due to widespread concerns from users regarding privacy, the feature was removed within just two hours of its rollout.
Social media experts say that although the feature was short-lived, it successfully exposed several networks that had been engaged in anti-Pakistan propaganda for a long time.
