By-Elections in 13 Constituencies: Vote Counting and Unofficial Results Begin

Islamabad — Vote counting is underway across the country after polling concluded for by-elections in 13 constituencies, including six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly seats. Polling continued from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., after which unofficial and non-final results started coming in from various districts including Haripur, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Mianwali, and Muzaffargarh.
### **NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan**
According to unofficial results from 15 polling stations, PML-N candidate **Mahmood Qadir Leghari** leads with **11,045 votes**, while PPP’s **Sardar Dost Khosa** follows with **4,221 votes**.
### **NA-143 Chichawatni**
From 26 polling stations, PML-N’s **Chaudhry Muhammad Tufail Jutt** is ahead with **7,411 votes**, followed by independent candidate **Zarar Akbar** with **619 votes**.
### **NA-18 Haripur**
Unofficial results from 25 polling stations show independent candidate **Shehrnaz** leading with **8,335 votes**, while PML-N’s **Babar Nawaz Khan** has received **5,811 votes**.
### **NA-129 Lahore**
From six polling stations, PML-N’s **Hafiz Nauman** leads with **533 votes**, followed by PTI-backed independent **Chaudhry Arsalan** with **319 votes**.
### **NA-96 Faisalabad**
Unofficial results from six polling stations show PML-N’s candidate ahead with **1,074 votes**, followed by independent **Malik Nawab Sher Waseer** with **191 votes**, and **Rana Nazakat Ali Naz** with **518 votes**.
### **PP-269 Muzaffargarh**
From 11 polling stations, PPP’s **Mian Alam Dar Qureshi** leads with **7,000 votes**, while independent **Iqbal Pitafi** has **3,687 votes**, and **Abdul Hai Dasti** is in third place with **767 votes**.
### **Polling Arrangements**
Authorities set up **2,792 polling stations**, of which **408** were declared highly sensitive and **1,032** sensitive. Over **20,000 security personnel** were deployed to maintain order.
### **Vacated Seats**
Several seats were vacated due to disqualifications related to the May 9 cases.
* **NA-18 Haripur** was vacated after PTI’s **Omar Ayub** was disqualified.
* **NA-96 Faisalabad** was vacated after PTI’s **Rai Haider Ali Kharal** was disqualified.
* **NA-104 Faisalabad** fell vacant after SIC Chairman **Hamid Raza** was convicted.
* **NA-185 DG Khan** was vacated following PTI leader **Zartaj Gul**’s disqualification.
More unofficial results are expected as counting continues across all polling stations.
