New spell of monsoon to enter Pakistan: PMD

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has warned of more rain in different parts of the country and has issued instructions to citizens to be cautious.

Thunderstorms are expected in various areas, including Lahore, Islamabad, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while Karachi is also expected to be partly cloudy and drizzle in the evening.

After the early morning rain in Lahore, the weather became pleasant, and cool winds significantly reduced the intensity of the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of 20 to 80 percent rain in the city today, while intermittent rain has been predicted throughout the day.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature in Lahore was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to be 35 degrees and the minimum is expected to be 27 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour in the city, while the humidity ratio in the air is recorded at 77 percent.

On the other hand, the weather in Karachi is partly cloudy, where there is a possibility of alternating between clouds and sunshine throughout the day. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the city will remain humid, while drizzle may occur in the evening.

Rain has also been predicted in Islamabad today in the morning and evening hours, while the weather will remain hot and humid during the day.

The temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius in the morning, while it is likely to go up to 36 degrees Celsius during the day. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour in the city, and the humidity ratio in the air is expected to be more than 61 percent.

According to the Meteorological Department, thundershowers are also expected in various areas of Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan, while heavy rain may also occur in some places.

Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during the rain, exercise caution in case of waterlogging in low-lying areas, and monitor the latest weather conditions to avoid any potential problems.
