Balochistan Assembly Speaker Criticizes KE and Sui Southern Gas for Denying Public Utilities Despite Payments

**Quetta:** During a session of the Balochistan Assembly, **Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai** expressed strong displeasure with **K-Electric (KE) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)** officials for failing to provide gas and electricity services to the public despite assurances of payments.

The Speaker informed the Assembly that KE officials had confirmed receipt assurances of **PKR 2 billion from the provincial government** and **PKR 4 billion from the federal government**, yet citizens continue to face shortages of essential utilities. He urged government members to update the Assembly on the matter.

**PML-N member Zarak Khan Mandokhail** added that utility companies have been summoned multiple times without results, stressing that **bill recovery is the responsibility of the companies, not the government**.

Following the Speaker’s ruling, the resolution was passed as a **joint resolution of the entire Assembly**, reflecting a united demand for uninterrupted gas and electricity services for the people of Balochistan.
