Balochistan Assembly Holds In-Camera Session to Discuss Law and Order Situation

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — The Balochistan Provincial Assembly held an in-camera session on Thursday under the chairmanship of Speaker Captain (R) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai in the Assembly Hall, focusing on the province’s current law and order situation.

The session began with leave requests presented by Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah, which were approved by the Speaker. Members Haji Noor Muhammad Damrd and Sardar Kobiar Domki were among those granted leave.

During the meeting, the Leader of the House provided members with a detailed briefing on the security situation across the province. The Inspector General of Police and relevant officials presented comprehensive reports on law enforcement, incidents of terrorism, crime rates, and security measures in various districts.

The Leader of the House urged members to actively provide practical suggestions and recommendations to help the government and federal agencies implement effective measures for improving law and order. He emphasized that the purpose of the session was to share accurate information and seek solutions, rather than to engage in debate or criticism.

Members were instructed to keep mobile phones off and confine discussions to the Assembly Hall to ensure information remained secure and transparent. The Speaker announced that the next Assembly session would be postponed to Friday, November 21, 2025, at 3 PM.

The session concluded at 4:05 PM, with members submitting written suggestions and recommendations aimed at enhancing the province’s law enforcement and public safety.
