Alima Khan Urges Public to Join Peaceful Protest with Black Flags and Armbands

Islamabad – Alima Khan, sister of PTI founder, called on supporters to participate in a peaceful protest on Friday, urging everyone to carry black flags and wear black armbands. She made the statement to the media after appearing in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court regarding a case related to the November 26 protest.

Alima Khan said she would also join the protest after Friday prayers, emphasizing that the demonstration aims to highlight “restoration of constitutional rights” and promote “peaceful political struggle.”

Previously, 11 non-bailable arrest warrants had been issued against her for non-appearance, while the court had also frozen 37 of her bank accounts and canceled her bail bonds. The case is being heard by Judge Amjad Ali Shah, who has requested details of her assets.

Following her court appearance, Alima Khan’s remarks underscored the significance of the protest, with PTI leadership calling for widespread participation of party workers nationwide.
