Suspect Behind Brother-in-Law’s Murder Killed in Police Encounter in Rahim Yar Khan

In Rahim Yar Khan, a suspect accused of orchestrating the murder of his brother-in-law was killed during a police encounter. The deceased, identified as **Noman Qaiser**, had multiple cases registered against him, including a murder case in Lahore and three other cases at Nasirabad and CCD police stations.

The victim, **Moaz**, was the son of a bicycle factory owner. Police sources stated that Noman Qaiser, a resident of Spain, had orchestrated the murder using hired shooters while he was abroad. Following the issuance of a red warrant, he returned to Pakistan.

Authorities said that after being produced in courts under police protection, Qaiser planned to flee the country again. During an operation in Rahim Yar Khan while attempting to cross the Punjab-Sindh border, he opened fire on police officers and was fatally shot in return fire.

Police confirmed that a motorcycle and vehicle suspected to be carrying Qaiser were stopped following a tip-off. The operation was part of a targeted effort to apprehend the fugitive, who had been involved in the murder of Moaz in 2023 through premeditated planning and the use of hired killers.

Qaiser was reportedly a business figure based in Spain. Investigations revealed that a senior police officer may have allegedly assisted him in Pakistan. The two hired gunmen involved in the 2023 murder of Moaz have already been sentenced to life imprisonment.

According to the Rahim Yar Khan District Police spokesperson, Qaiser was tracked while traveling from Rahim Yar Khan toward Sindh. Police had set up checkpoints in the morning to intercept him, leading to the fatal encounter.
