KP Chief Minister Claims “Major Incident” Expected Soon During Haripur Rally

ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohaib Afridi has claimed that a major incident may take place in the country soon. Addressing a public gathering in Haripur, he said that Pakistan’s most popular leader and his wife are currently in jail, while the alleged mistreatment of the PTI founder’s sisters outside Adiala Jail is highly condemnable.
Afridi stated that the PTI founder is making sacrifices for the nation along with his family. He urged the public to vote for PTI in the by‑election scheduled for November 23. Warning the authorities, he said that any attempt at rigging by the administration or police would lead to serious consequences and that manipulating election results could push the situation toward a dangerous turn.
PTI leader Omar Ayub, while addressing the rally, said he had been sentenced to 50 years for remaining loyal to his leader but would not bow to pressure. He claimed that 766 cases, including charges of murder and terrorism, had been registered against him. He accused the PML‑N of being responsible for the deaths of PTI workers.
PTI’s Junaid Akbar strongly condemned the incident involving the PTI founder’s sisters and demanded that the water supply from Haripur to Islamabad and from Donga Gali to Murree be cut off as a form of open resistance against the federal government.
