Opposition Leader Sajid Tareen Meets Former Supreme Court Judge Athar Minallah in Islamabad

Islamabad: Sajid Tareen, a senior leader of the opposition alliance *Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan*, met former Supreme Court judge Justice (R) Athar Minallah in the federal capital. The meeting focused on discussions over various national and constitutional matters.
During the meeting, Sajid Tareen Advocate praised Justice (R) Athar Minallah for his strong principles and his consistent services in support of the oppressed. He acknowledged the former judge’s unwavering stance on upholding justice and constitutional values.
It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah had resigned from their positions as judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan over the issue of the 27th Constitutional Amendment, submitting their resignations to the President.
President Asif Ali Zardari subsequently accepted the resignations of both judges.
