Balochistan Revenue Authority Seals Two Restaurants Over Non-Payment of Sales Tax
Quetta (Qudrat Daily) — Acting on the directives of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the **Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA)** has launched a crackdown against tax defaulters in the province, sealing **Takto Restaurant** and **Khyber Shinwari Restaurant** for failing to pay sales tax under the **Balochistan Sales Tax on Services Act**.
According to a BRA spokesperson, both restaurants had been repeatedly issued notices and instructed to fulfill their legal obligations regarding sales tax payments. Despite being provided multiple opportunities, the restaurants failed to comply, prompting the BRA to take legal action and close their operations.
The spokesperson added that the operation was carried out in coordination with the **Assistant Commissioner, BRA staff, and local police**, in line with the vision of the Chief Minister and the directives of the BRA Chairperson.
The BRA has further warned all service providers in Balochistan to ensure timely payment of sales tax, stating that strict legal measures will be taken against those who fail to comply.
