Shah Mahmood Qureshi Hospitalized; PTI’s Old Guard Meets to Launch “Release Imran Khan” Movement

**LAHORE (Qudrat News):** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman **Shah Mahmood Qureshi** has been shifted to **PKLI Hospital** due to deteriorating health, while senior PTI leaders are reportedly planning to launch a new **“Release Imran Khan”** movement.

According to **Express News**, sources revealed that Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been suffering from **gallstones**, and doctors have recommended **gallbladder surgery**. He has been under the supervision of **Dr. Faisal** at PKLI since **October 28**.

Meanwhile, reliable sources confirmed that several former PTI leaders have met Qureshi at the hospital to discuss launching a movement aimed at securing **Imran Khan’s release**.

Those involved in the discussions include **Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Molvi, and Sibtain Khan**, among others. Sources added that Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, and Mahmood Molvi personally visited Qureshi to discuss the plan.

The group reportedly intends to **seek Imran Khan’s approval** for the campaign and is reaching out to former PTI members in **Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** to gain broader support.

According to insiders, the **old PTI leadership** plans to take an **active role** once Qureshi is released from custody, asserting that the **current party leadership** has failed to secure **Imran Khan’s freedom**.
