Senior Actress Simi Raheel Calls Pakistani Award Shows “Fake and Unfair“

Karachi: Veteran Pakistani actress Simi Raheel has criticized Pakistani award shows, labeling them as fake and unfair.

Speaking as a guest on a private TV program, she questioned the credibility of award show voting, saying, “When even the election results in a country like Pakistan are not transparent, how can we trust the voting of award shows?” She added that even in developed countries like the United States, the voting process has faced manipulation, making such results unreliable.

Simi Raheel further said that award shows often cater to personal preferences, with people giving awards to their favorites regardless of merit. According to her, many recipients of such awards lack genuine talent, making the honors appear insincere.

She also criticized the system set up by different channels, stating that awards are frequently distributed based on bias rather than merit or fairness.
