Junaid Jamshed’s Son Saifullah Shares Emotional Memories of His Late Father

KARACHI:The late singer, preacher, and TV host **Junaid Jamshed’s son, Saifullah Junaid**, has shared heartfelt memories of his father and the final moments they spent together before his tragic passing.

Speaking on a recent **Geo Podcast**, Saifullah opened up about personal moments and life lessons he learned from his father.

Reflecting on the day before the fatal crash, Saifullah said,

> “I was 14 years old when my father passed away. I met him on Sunday before he left for Chitral. During that meeting, he said something that became his last message to me: *‘My wish is not that you become a businessman, hold a big position, or become rich — I just want you to be a good human being and a religious person.’*”

Saifullah shared that while his father often spoke about life and faith, this conversation was unusually direct and emotional — a message that continues to guide him.

He also revealed a touching detail about Junaid Jamshed’s final months:

> “Around eight months before his death, he told my mother, ‘Ayesha, please don’t be upset with me, but I have prayed to Allah for martyrdom.’ It feels like Allah granted him exactly what he asked for.”

Saifullah fondly recalled their **family pilgrimage to Hajj**, just three months before the tragedy:

> “That was my first Hajj. All of us — my brothers, sister, mother, father, sister-in-law, and aunt — went together. It was a beautiful and unforgettable journey.”

Junaid Jamshed, who transitioned from a **pop music icon** to a **renowned religious figure and entrepreneur**, tragically lost his life in a **plane crash on December 7, 2016**, while returning from Chitral.
