Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Condemns Sui Southern Gas Company, Calls It a Mafia Depriving Public of Basic Rights

**Quetta (Qudrat Roznama)** — The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) has expressed serious concern over the alleged corruption, negligence, and mismanagement of **Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC)**, describing the utility as a **structured mafia** that is depriving citizens of their right to live through inflated bills, tampering with units, unnecessary fines, and meter shutdowns.
The party’s statement highlighted **defiance of High Court orders, artificial gas shortages, low pressure, overnight load-shedding, and complete shutdowns in small factories under the pretext of gas theft** as unacceptable anti-public measures.
Despite repeated parliamentary discussions and meetings to provide new connections, pipelines, and resources, areas including **Quetta, Ziarat, Pishin, and Mastung** continue to face gas shortages. The statement noted that in Ziarat and surrounding areas, locals are forced to cut valuable forests and pine trees for fuel due to the scarcity.
PMAP demanded the **restoration of gas pressure, elimination of the artificial crisis, immediate supply of gas to deprived districts, and strict investigations against the mafia within the company**.
