Opposition Alliance Condemns 27th Amendment as Unconstitutional, Announces Black Day Nationwide

**Islamabad:** The opposition alliance **Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan** has strongly condemned the **27th and 26th constitutional amendments**, declaring them unconstitutional and completely rejecting them. The alliance announced that a **Black Day** will be observed across the country next Friday.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the alliance said the amendments are an **attack on the Constitution’s basic structure** and the judiciary, and the attempt to place the judiciary under administrative control is unacceptable, effectively curbing the **Supreme Court’s powers**.
The statement also praised **Justice Mansoor Ali Shah** and **Justice Athar Minallah** for their resignations, demanding the Constitution be restored to its original form, and reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to **continue democratic resistance** against the unconstitutional amendments.
The opposition expressed full support for the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Aman Jirga’s statement** and announced that a resolution against the 27th amendment will be presented in the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly**.
The alliance further declared a **march from the Punjab Assembly to the Lahore High Court**, urging lawyers in Lahore to participate fully. It also demanded the **immediate release of Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, PTI leadership, and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee**, and instructed lawmakers to conduct a **walk from the National Assembly to the Supreme Court on Monday**.
