PTI Leader Taimur Jhagra Stopped From Travelling Abroad at Peshawar Airport

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra was barred from travelling abroad after immigration authorities stopped him at Bacha Khan International Airport.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Jhagra said he was scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., to attend an event at Georgetown University. However, immigration officials informed him that he could not leave the country as his name was listed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL) and his passport had been deactivated.

Jhagra added that he had written a letter to the Interior Secretary 10 days earlier but received no response. Due to growing concerns, he personally visited the Ministry of Interior to submit the letter, yet no action was taken.
