Serious Financial Irregularities in Balochistan Levies Force; Unauthorized Bank Account Ordered to Be Closed Immediately
**QUETTA (Qudrat Daily)** — The **Public Accounts Committee (PAC)**, chaired by **Asghar Ali Tarin**, held a meeting to review the financial affairs of the **Balochistan Levies Force**, uncovering serious irregularities.
The committee took strict notice of an **unauthorized bank account opened at National Bank on Shahrah-e-Iqbal** without approval from the Finance Department. The PAC ordered the **immediate closure of the account** and directed that **PKR 13.969 million be deposited into the government treasury**.
During the meeting, it was revealed that **zonal offices and the Khuzdar Training Center under the DG Levies** failed to provide audit records for **PKR 240.80 million in expenditures**, while **PKR 105.099 million in contracts were awarded without tenders**.
The committee declared these transactions as **financial irregularities** and ordered a **comprehensive inquiry along with proper approval procedures** to be implemented immediately.
