Government Begins Preparations to Implement 27th Constitutional Amendment, Federal Constitutional Court Judges Shortlisted

*Islamabad (Qudrat News)* — The **government has initiated preparations** to implement the **27th Constitutional Amendment**, starting the process of **reconstituting the higher judiciary**. In this context, **seven judges have been shortlisted** for the proposed **Federal Constitutional Court (FFC)**, which will be tasked with interpreting the Constitution and resolving disputes between the federal government and provinces.

Official sources stated that consultations have begun regarding the formation of the new court. **Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan**, currently heading the Supreme Court’s Constitutional Bench, is being considered for appointment as the **Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court**.

Other judges under consideration include **Supreme Court Justices Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi, Musarrat Hilali, Amir Farooq, and Ali Baqar Najafi**, along with **Justice K.K. Agha from Sindh High Court** and **Chief Justice Rozi Khan Brech from Balochistan High Court**.

The initial composition of the Federal Constitutional Court will be determined through a **presidential order**, while any future expansion of judges will require **parliamentary approval** through legislation.
