PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui Placed on Ventilator Due to Critical Illness

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator **Irfan Siddiqui** has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition and placed on a **ventilator**, according to family sources who have confirmed his illness.

Due to his deteriorating health, Senator Siddiqui will **not be able to cast his vote** in today’s session on the **27th Constitutional Amendment Bill**.

The **Joint Parliamentary Committee on Law and Justice** has already approved the **initial draft** of the 27th Amendment, which is scheduled to be **presented in the Senate today**. The session is set to begin at **11:00 AM**.

Sources further revealed that the **government’s coalition partners** have yet to reach a consensus on certain proposed changes. Among the suggestions under consideration is one from the **Awami National Party (ANP)** to **change the name of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** province.
