Current Government in Pakistan is a ‘Flag with a Stick’ Regime,” Says Maulana Hafiz Hamdullah

**Islamabad (Qudrat News)** – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan (JUI-P) senior leader and Senator **Maulana Hafiz Hamdullah** criticized the **27th Constitutional Amendment**, calling it a mockery of the Constitution. He stated that while it was previously claimed that forming a constitutional bench in the Supreme Court served the judiciary’s interest, today the narrative has shifted to serving the interests of the **Constitutional Court** itself, questioning whether this is not a joke on the Constitution.

Hamdullah accused politicians of turning the Constitution into a **plaything and a tool for personal gains**, adding that those who repeatedly sacrifice the 1973 Constitution are undeserving of its credit. He warned that in the pursuit of power, politicians have jeopardized the Constitution, democracy, and Parliament, reducing the legislature to a mere **rubber stamp**, eroding public trust in both the system and leadership.

Criticizing the Prime Minister’s quick approval of the amendment via video link from Azerbaijan, Hamdullah said the current regime is not just a **“flag government”** but a **“flag with a stick”**, where authority and action cannot exist without coercion.
