Momina Iqbal’s Lawyer Alleges Saqib Chaddar and Wife Previously Broke Actress’s Earlier Engagement
Lahore: A new development has emerged in the high-profile controversy involving Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal, as her lawyer has made serious allegations against Saqib Chaddar and his wife, accusing them of repeatedly attempting to sabotage the actress’s relationships and marriage prospects.
Speaking to the media, Momina Iqbal’s lawyer claimed that the actress had been subjected to a “planned campaign” and personal vendetta for several years. According to the lawyer, this was not the first time obstacles had allegedly been created in Momina’s marriage plans.
The lawyer stated that a previous engagement of the actress had also ended after Saqib Chaddar allegedly spread “false and baseless accusations” about her among relatives, friends, and the public. Since Momina Iqbal is a well-known actress and highly conscious of her reputation, the situation reportedly caused her severe emotional distress.
According to the statement, the person she was previously engaged to eventually decided not to proceed with the marriage due to the surrounding controversy and alleged propaganda.
The lawyer further claimed that despite the breakup, Momina Iqbal did not file any complaint with law enforcement agencies at the time because she feared social stigma and negative consequences for her family members.
He alleged that the dispute resurfaced when Momina’s family later arranged another marriage proposal. According to the lawyer, Saqib Chaddar and his wife allegedly contacted the prospective groom and made offensive allegations against the actress, which eventually caused that relationship to collapse as well.
The lawyer added that the identity of the individual involved in the previous proposal is currently being kept confidential, but claimed that evidence would be presented before investigative authorities as the inquiry progresses.
He also alleged that when Momina Iqbal’s relationship with Hamza Habib became serious in 2026 and both families agreed to the marriage, Saqib Chaddar allegedly attempted once again to interfere by tracing Hamza Habib’s personal phone number and trying to influence him against the actress.
According to the lawyer, Hamza Habib refused to be influenced and instead decided to stand firmly by Momina Iqbal.
