Hub to Be Developed as Balochistan’s Model City: Provincial Minister Mir Ali Hassan Zehri

Quetta: Provincial Minister for Agriculture and senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader **Mir Ali Hassan Zehri** has vowed to transform **Hub** into a **model city of Balochistan**, stressing that **delays in development projects or compromises on quality will not be tolerated**.

Chairing a **high-level meeting** on the **Hub Master Plan** at **Zehri Farmhouse**, the minister reviewed progress on ongoing development initiatives and directed officials to **accelerate work** and establish a **public liaison cell** to address citizens’ concerns promptly.

The meeting was attended by **Deputy Commissioner Hub Nisar Ahmed Lango**, **SSP Syed Fazil Bukhari**, **Municipal Corporation Chairman Babu Faiz Sheikh**, **Vice Chairman Azeem Siyan**, **District Chairman Javed Jamali**, and officials from **development departments, engineering teams, and local government institutions**. Participants were briefed on road expansion projects, improvements in the drainage system, and efforts to enhance civic amenities in Hub.

Zehri said the government is determined to develop Hub into a **well-organized, modern urban center**. “We acknowledge that residents are facing temporary difficulties due to the ongoing construction work, but these hardships will soon translate into long-term benefits and modern facilities,” he said.

He added that **President Asif Ali Zardari** and **PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari** have shown special interest in Hub’s development, and that their efforts have helped secure **significant development funds** for the city. “Our goal is to make Hub a model city of Balochistan — equipped with quality education, healthcare, employment, and civic facilities,” he emphasized.

Later, the provincial minister met with **public delegations, tribal elders, and social representatives** at Zehri Farmhouse. Citizens shared their problems and complaints, which Zehri listened to attentively, issuing **on-the-spot directives** to concerned departments for immediate resolution.

He reiterated that **resolving public issues remains the government’s top priority**, adding:

> “As a public representative, I stand with my people in their challenges. Providing them with basic facilities is our duty, and no delay in addressing public grievances will be tolerated.”

Local residents praised Mir Ali Hassan Zehri’s **approachable attitude and swift action**, describing his leadership as a positive example of **responsive and people-centered governance**.
