Inflation and Lawlessness Soaring; Rulers and Establishment Must End Extravagance to Provide Relief, Says Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch has said that inflation has broken the backbone of the poor while the ruling elite and establishment continue to live off public resources. He stated that daily increases in gas, electricity, and petroleum prices are being imposed merely to fund the lavish lifestyles of the powerful. Meanwhile, unemployment, corruption, and lawlessness are at their peak.

Speaking to various delegations during a meeting in Lahore, he said there is no hope left from those who have been treating Balochistan like a treasure to exploit. “The rulers do not even consider our people human, and this is the greatest injustice,” he added.

He stressed that the rights of Balochistan are not charity but a birthright, which the people will reclaim through hard work, democratic struggle, their voice, and unwavering determination. “This land may be silent, but it is alive. Now every son and daughter of Balochistan will speak, because we are human beings, not resources, and ignoring us is no longer possible.”

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman criticized the government’s failure in controlling the border trade closure, trafficking mafias, and illegal profiteering in sugar, wheat, and other essential commodities. He said no authority holds these mafias accountable because officials and institutions are only concerned about timely receipt of extortion and illegal taxes.

He further alleged that corruption has engulfed every institution, with large-scale embezzlement taking place daily under the protection of government and powerful entities. “From development schemes to major government projects, corruption continues unchecked,” he added.
