Major Diplomatic Postings Announced by Pakistan Foreign Ministry

Islamabad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a series of major diplomatic postings across Pakistani missions abroad.
Sources confirmed that Faisal Tirmizi has assumed charge as Pakistan’s new ambassador to Russia in Moscow, while the previous ambassador, Khalid Khan Jamali, has been appointed Additional Foreign Secretary. Zahid Hussain has been posted as Director General for the Middle East.
In other postings, Tirmizi replaces Altmash Wazirkhan as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, with former Kyrgyzstan envoy Hasan Zigham now serving as Director General for Central Asia.
Additionally, Bilal Chaudhry has been appointed Director General for South Asia, taking over from Ilyas Nizami, who was nominated as Pakistan’s ambassador to Romania.
These new appointments reflect Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its diplomatic presence and engagement across key regions.
