KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Announces All-Party Jirga to Discuss Law and Order

PESHAWAR:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister **Sohail Afridi** has decided to convene an **all-party jirga under the in-house committee** to discuss the province’s security and political situation.
According to official sources, CM Sohail Afridi has held **telephonic conversations with several political leaders**, including **Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Aimal Wali Khan, Sirajul Haq, Amir Muqam, Aftab Sherpao**, and **Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha**.
During the discussions, the chief minister sought input from political leaders on the **overall law and order situation** in the province and the **need for joint political efforts** to maintain lasting peace.
After the consultations, CM Afridi announced the decision to **convene an all-party jirga**, emphasizing that **peace is a shared goal across all political divides**.
“Differences of opinion are the beauty of democracy, but ensuring peace is our collective responsibility,” he said, adding that the government aims to engage all stakeholders to **achieve sustainable peace and political harmony** in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
