Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Chief Hidayat-ur-Rehman Calls for Collective Efforts to Address Balochistan’s National Issues

Quetta:The Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and member of the Balochistan Assembly, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has called on federal parties, the media, and the judiciary to join Jamaat-e-Islami’s public struggle for the resolution of Balochistan’s pressing national issues. He stated that due to the negligence and inefficiency of the media, federal government, powerful forces, and incompetent individuals imposed on the province, the public is suffering. People’s lives and property are unsafe, unemployment and poverty are at their peak.
While discussing the ongoing issues, including the abduction of a girl in Khuzdar and the unresolved case of a photographer’s disappearance from Quetta, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman said that the people are living in fear. He pointed out that the security fund of 85 billion rupees allocated for the protection of the public is being wasted on defense and extravagant expenses, instead of ensuring public safety.
During meetings with traders, youth, and journalists, he emphasized that the people of Balochistan, including the highways, children, mothers, and sisters, are unprotected. He affirmed that Jamaat-e-Islami is actively involved in parliamentary and public struggles against this injustice. He also vowed to intensify the “Haqq Balochistan” campaign by gathering one hundred thousand people in Quetta, uniting the public to defend their rights, protect their lives and property, and fight against abductions, looting, disappearances, and corruption.
He appealed to the business community, journalists, youth, social workers, lawyers, and religious scholars to join the movement and help secure the rights of the people. Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also criticized the ruling powers, stating that the federal government and establishment have rendered the Balochistan Assembly ineffective and powerless, treating its members as insignificant. He lamented that instead of addressing democratic rights, peaceful protestors are being pushed toward the mountains, a situation that calls for serious reflection.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman called upon the people and youth to join the Jamaat-e-Islami’s struggle against oppression and for the realization of their rights.
