**Levies Personnel Refusing Police Merger to Receive Golden Handshake, Says Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti**

**Quetta (Qudrat News)** — Balochistan Chief Minister **Mir Sarfraz Bugti** has announced that **Levies Force personnel unwilling to join the police** will be given a **golden handshake** as part of an ongoing institutional reform process aimed at strengthening law enforcement and creating new employment opportunities for the province’s youth.
Speaking at a **press conference** at the **Central Police Office Quetta** alongside **Inspector General of Police Balochistan Muhammad Tahir**, after paying homage at the **Martyrs’ Monument**, the chief minister said that the merger of Levies and Police is intended to establish a **unified, efficient, and professional security system** across the province.
“The government is committed to ensuring lasting peace in Balochistan by modernizing the police force and aligning it with contemporary security challenges,” CM Bugti stated.
He added that those Levies officials who do not wish to be integrated into the police will be **retired with a compensation package**, and their positions will be **opened up for young recruits** to ensure new employment avenues.
“The government’s focus is not only on improving law and order but also on providing dignified job opportunities to the youth through meaningful reforms,” he emphasized.
