Lawlessness Prevails in Quetta as Motorcycles Snatched in Broad Daylight, Says Hazara Democratic Party

**Quetta:** The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has strongly condemned the growing lawlessness in Quetta, stating that incidents of robbery, theft, and insecurity have become routine across the city due to the incompetence of the imposed provincial government and the negligence of the administration and law enforcement agencies.

In a central statement, the party said that crimes are occurring daily on busy roads, streets, and in residential neighborhoods, while the administration and security institutions remain “asleep at the wheel.” The HDP noted that in recent weeks, incidents of motorcycle snatching have increased significantly during daylight hours and early evenings, particularly in areas such as Sariab Road, Brewery Road, and surrounding localities.

The statement further highlighted that in several cases, citizens who resisted during robberies were shot and injured. These incidents, the party said, are taking place in areas where police and other security personnel are routinely deployed on patrol, raising serious questions about the performance and effectiveness of law enforcement agencies.

According to the Hazara Democratic Party, the worsening security situation has left ordinary citizens feeling unsafe and deeply frustrated with the failures of the police and administration. The party emphasized that public confidence in law enforcement is rapidly eroding due to continued inaction against criminal elements.

The HDP urged the authorities responsible for public safety to wake up from their negligence, fulfill their duties, and take decisive action against those involved in criminal activities. It demanded effective measures to restore law and order and ensure the safety of citizens on the streets and in neighborhoods across Quetta.
