Over 10 Terrorists Killed in Security Operation in Quetta’s Chiltan Mountains

Quetta: Security forces have killed more than 10 terrorists during an operation in the mountainous region of Chiltan, on the outskirts of Quetta.

According to security sources, the operation targeted camps belonging to a banned organization, and all those killed were members of the outlawed group.

In recent months, the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, both bordering Afghanistan, have witnessed a surge in terrorist activities, prompting intensified counterterrorism operations by security forces.

On the night between September 30 and October 1, security forces conducted two separate operations in Quetta and Kech districts, killing 13 terrorists belonging to “Fitna-tul-Khawarij” and “Fitna-tul-Hindustan.” On October 1, another 18 terrorists were neutralized in operations carried out in Quetta and Sherani.

Later, on October 4, security forces in Khuzdar killed 14 terrorists linked to Fitna-tul-Hindustan, while more than 20 others were injured. On October 17, SHO Qasim Baloch was martyred in an attack on a police convoy in Kharan. Two days later, on October 19, security forces killed Jameel alias Taitak, a most-wanted commander of Fitna-tul-Hindustan involved in multiple terrorist attacks in Balochistan.

Most recently, five terrorists were killed in a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Sibi on October 21, followed by the elimination of six more Fitna-tul-Hindustan militants in Dalbandin on October 22.
