Jordan’s King Abdullah Expresses Desire to Strengthen Bilateral Defense Cooperation with Pakistan

**Islamabad (Kudrat Daily):** Jordan’s King **Abdullah II** has expressed his desire to further enhance bilateral defense cooperation between **Jordan and Pakistan**, during a meeting with **Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir**, who is on an official visit to Jordan.

According to a statement issued by the **Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)**, the Army Chief met King Abdullah II in the presence of **Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah**. Discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly in defense and security cooperation, as well as regional developments.

Field Marshal Asim Munir conveyed good wishes on behalf of the **people, government, and armed forces of Pakistan**, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its fraternal ties with Jordan.

The ISPR stated that **King Abdullah** praised the **professionalism of the Pakistan Army** and its role in promoting **regional peace and stability**, expressing a strong desire to further deepen bilateral defense relations.

During the visit, the Army Chief also met with the **Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti**, and was presented with a **Guard of Honour** at the **General Headquarters in Amman**.

Both sides acknowledged the long-standing and brotherly relations between the armed forces of **Pakistan and Jordan**, while Major General Al-Huneiti lauded Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and security.
