Complete Shutdown in Qila Saifullah Against Merger of Levies Force into Police

Qila Saifullah: A **complete shutter-down strike** was observed in **Qila Saifullah** in protest against the government’s decision to **merge the Levies Force with the police**. On the call of the **Central Traders Association** and the **Anjuman-e-Tajiran Qila Saifullah**, all markets, shops, and commercial centers remained closed, bringing business activity to a standstill.

They emphasized that the **Levies Force** is a **historic, indigenous, and community-based institution** of Balochistan and cannot be merged with the police under any circumstances.

Leaders of the traders’ bodies vowed to continue their struggle for the **preservation, autonomy, and authority of the Levies Force**, as well as for the **safety and security of the public**. They asserted that they would not bow to any pressure on this critical public issue.
