Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Hosts Dinner for Pakistan and South Africa Cricket Teams

ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif** hosted a dinner in honor of the **Pakistan and South Africa cricket teams**, welcoming the South African players to Pakistan and highlighting the strong relations between the two nations.

Speaking at the event, the Prime Minister said, “We warmly welcome the South African cricket team to Pakistan. Our two countries enjoy excellent relations at various levels — cricket being one of them.”

During the evening, the Prime Minister met with players from both sides and expressed confidence that the ongoing **Pakistan–South Africa series** would further strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.

“South Africa has produced some of the greatest cricketers in the world, while Pakistan’s players have brought pride to the nation with their remarkable performances,” he noted, adding that he hoped the Pakistan team would continue its tradition of outstanding play.

Shehbaz Sharif also expressed full confidence in **PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi**, praising his leadership abilities. “Cricket is not merely a sport — it connects people from different countries, promotes brotherhood and peace, and reflects the true spirit of sportsmanship,” the Prime Minister said, emphasizing the importance of preserving that spirit.
