Smuggled Tyres Worth Over Rs54 Million Seized in Joint Customs-Rangers Operation in Karachi

KARACHI: In a joint operation, Pakistan Customs and Sindh Rangers seized smuggled tyres worth over Rs54.7 million during an anti-smuggling drive in Karachi.

According to the spokesperson, the operation was conducted based on confidential information as part of the ongoing anti-smuggling campaign. Raids were carried out at warehouses in and around the Old Sabzi Mandi area, where 3,650 smuggled used tyres of various brands were recovered.

The seized tyres, valued at Rs54.75 million, were reportedly intended for distribution in local markets. A case has been registered, and the confiscated goods have been shifted to the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Customs warehouse, the spokesperson added.
