Civil Society Balochistan Criticizes Mismanagement of Scholarships and Calls for Action Against Project Director

Quetta:Civil Society Balochistan, in a statement, has raised concerns over the mismanagement of scholarships under the *Aaghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan* package. While the Chief Minister of Balochistan claims to send students to prestigious universities like Oxford and Harvard, the society points out that local students are being deprived of opportunities under this package, and 16 years have passed without fulfilling 200 international scholarships. The key figure behind the issue is Project Director Dara Shukoh.

Civil Society Balochistan, along with scholars whose scholarships were cancelled by Dara Shukoh, has repeatedly reached out to him through the media, requesting access to data on the scholars and their local domiciles. However, despite these efforts, Dara Shukoh has refused to share any information since November, remaining stubborn in his stance. The group suggests that Dara Shukoh may believe that the students of Balochistan are ignored and beyond accountability.

Civil Society Balochistan has called on Chief Minister Mir Sardar Baloch and Minister for Education Raheela Durrani to ensure the rightful allocation of scholarships to candidates under the *Aaghaz-e-Huqooq Balochistan* package before making grand promises about sending students to foreign universities. They also demand that strict action be taken against Project Director Dara Shukoh for his failure to address the issues.
