If Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Doesn’t Want Bulletproof Vehicles, Give Them to Us: Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti Urges Mohsin Naqvi

QUETTA: Amid the ongoing dispute between the **federal government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** over the supply of bulletproof vehicles to the police, the **Balochistan government** has stepped in with its own request.

Balochistan Chief Minister **Sarfraz Bugti** has asked **Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi** to provide the vehicles to Balochistan if the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government refuses to accept them**.

> “Like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan is also affected by terrorism. If the KP government is unwilling to take the bulletproof vehicles, we would gladly accept them,” the Chief Minister said.

He emphasized that **Balochistan urgently needs additional protective equipment** to strengthen its counter-terrorism operations and ensure the safety of law enforcement personnel.

Earlier, the **Federal Ministry of Interior** had handed over bulletproof vehicles to the **KP Inspector General of Police**, but **Chief Minister Sohail Afridi** directed the police to **return the vehicles**, claiming they were **substandard and unsafe**.

The disagreement has now opened the door for **Balochistan’s bid to secure the equipment**, as the province continues to face persistent security challenges.
